Help on the Checking Machine

Setting up the window. Use an 800x600, 24 bit colour window. Use the F11 function key as a toggle to get a full screen window.
The Drums must be selected first. Click on 'Select Drums' text at the bottom left hand corner of the window. Now click on the small coloured drum images to set the required drums onto the Checker. Drums number 1 to 8 from left to right, The drum image and its direction pointers will be set onto the machine in order from left to right. The coloured direction arrows identify which drums are in which postion. For this Bombe run select drums 1, 8, 6. Then click on the left hand drum to put the straight through drum onto the left hand position. Note: the reflector plug (Umkerwalze) is not shown on the left hand side of the Checker Machine case. The B UKW is assumed.

Click on the Reset Discs: text on the top left hand side. Now click alongside the top direction arrows to rotate the discs to the required stop setting for each drum. For the example the stop was GZT so the left hand drum disc is set to G, the middle one to Z and the right hand drum disc set to T. Now set the Drums by clicking on the 'Reset Drums:' text. Then use the direction arrows below the drums to rotate them to the postion to be checked.

Click down left mouse key on the lettered key along the bottom of the Checking Machine. The lamp will be illuminated which is the encipherement of the key pressed for that exact configuration of the drums and discs.
